Demolition

For sites which are not in need of clearing, demolition is often the first major phase of operation.

Regardless of the type of site, buildings and foundations often need to be removed before the site construction can begin. Curbs and paving are also frequently a part of the site demolition process. Miller has a wide range of heavy equipment to tackle this job, from milling machines to stabilizers, pavement saws and hydra-hammers. The stabilizer is used whenever possible since this allows the re-use of the former pavement as fill or sub-base material, producing very little waste and therefore causing less environmental impact. This equipment combined with an experienced labor force allows CJ Miller to demolish surface features on the site swiftly and efficiently.

Upon initial observation of a site, surface items are obvious, but what are often not as apparent are the underground utilities. Pressurized water pipes, live sewer and storm drains, and gas or fiber optics lines each present their own unique challenge. Whether removing these utilities, connecting to them for future extensions or simply excavating in their vicinity, safety is job one.
